Papa John’s and Shaq raise the banner of a better day.
Papa John’s had a rough year. After dismissing the founder from the company over his now infamous comments, they faced a drought of sliding sales and diminished reputation. So, they started by looking inward, revamping the leadership team, and launching internal programs to ensure a diverse and equitable workplace. But they also needed to show the outside world that they had made real change. Enter Shaquille O’Neal, a fan of the brand, and their newest board member and franchisee. We launched a campaign featuring Shaq that spread this simple message: “It’s a Better Day”.
